About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to students with a diverse range of learning needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with individual students and small groups, both inside and outside the classroom, to support their learning and development.
- Assisting with personal care needs (as required), promoting independence and encouraging social interaction.
- Implementing tailored learning activities designed by teachers, adapting your approach to meet individual student needs.
- Creating a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
- Communicating effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents/guardians to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to each child's development.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working or volunteering with SEND children (preferably with autism/ADHD experience).
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Caring and empathetic personality.
- Commitment to safeguarding children.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
