About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant at this specialist SEN school, you'll play a vital role in providing essential support to students with a diverse range of learning needs. Your days will be filled with purpose and variety, involving:
- Working closely with individual students and small groups, both inside and outside the classroom, to deliver engaging learning activities tailored to their needs.
- Implementing personalised learning plans and strategies, developed in collaboration with teachers and therapists, to foster academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Assisting students with their personal care needs (as required), promoting independence and dignity.
- Creating a positive, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that celebrates each student's achievements and encourages a love of learning.
- Communicating effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning experience for each child.
About You:
- You have a genuine passion for working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a belief in their ability to succeed.
- You are patient, understanding, and empathetic, with a warm and nurturing approach.
- You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience working in an SEN setting is desirable, but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
