Join our team as an SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 1-2) in Darwen to support students aged 10-19 with Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, and related conditions. Be part of a passionate team that helps students succeed academically and personally.
Role Summary:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate with class teachers to plan and deliver lessons that meet the specific needs of each student. Your role includes managing student behaviour and promoting their well-being and development.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in lesson planning, delivery, and evaluation.
- Report on student progress regularly.
- Support students in managing behaviour and maintaining focus.
- Keep detailed records of student progress.
- Promote academic, social, and emotional growth.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with children with SEN.
- Full UK driving licence and vehicle access for transporting students.
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above).
- Level 2 or higher in Teaching and Learning Support (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding practices.
- A positive, adaptable attitude and a commitment to helping students succeed.
