The school is looking for an inspiring and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support students on a 1:1 basis with their learning in the classroom and around the school. You will work closely with the class teacher, ensuring the learning environment is appropriate for each student.
Students have regular use of the amazing facilities, including a music room, science labs, cookery room, technology and art studios, plus extensive sports and recreation facilities, including an indoor swimming pool, large sports field, activity centre and climbing wall. With high-quality teaching and therapy teams, students are supported with personalised interventions to help them thrive and make progress in both their academic and social and emotional development.

This role is needed on a full time, permanent basis (40 hours a week) term time only.

Key responsibilities:
- Work 1:1 with a student, building a supportive and nurturing relationship ensuring they feel safe and secure at school
- Promote and encourage good behaviour and encourage independence
- Contribute to all aspects of educational activities and experiences through supporting the teaching of a broad curriculum
Successful candidate qualities:
- GCSE English and Maths qualification - minimum grade 4 or equivalent is essential
- Level 2 - 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or working towards).
- Understanding of the Safeguarding principles
- Knowledge and experience of pupils with SEMH, ASD.
- Own transport due to location is desirable
