About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to students with a diverse range of learning needs, enabling them to access a fulfilling and engaging educational experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with individual students and small groups, both inside and outside the classroom, to support their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Assisting with personal care needs (as required), promoting independence, and encouraging social interaction.
- Implementing tailored learning activities designed by teachers, adapting your approach to meet individual student needs.
- Creating a positive, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where every child feels safe, valued, and supported.
- Communicating effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to each student's development.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working or volunteering with SEND children (preferably with autism/ADHD experience).
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Caring and empathetic personality.
- Commitment to safeguarding children.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
