This is a long-term role, but depending on how well they do, a successful SEN TA may be granted a permanent position.

Some your responsibilities are:
- Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies to meet each student's specific needs.
- Work closely with teachers to support classroom activities and manage behaviour effectively.
- Track student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents, contributing to student reports and reviews.
- Facilitate the inclusion of SEN students in all aspects of school life, including extracurricular activities and social interactions.
You must meet the following requirements in order to be cleared to work as a SEN teaching assistant:
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to get a new one
- Must Provide 2 relevant professional references
- Previous experience working with students with special educational needs, ideally in an educational setting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting student development.
- Collaborative and able to work well within a team of educators and support staff.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to the diverse needs of students.
