We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Teaching Assistant (SEN) to work with children that have SEMH needs to start as soon as possible in one of the schools based in Plymouth.
This is a long term position but a successful SEN TA may be offered a permanent position as per their performance.
This exciting opportunity would include assisting with lesson plans, providing extra assistance to children, and recording and reporting a child's progress to the teacher.
Note: Eligibility to work in the UK is ESSENTIAL (sponsorship is not available with this role)

Some of your Responsibilities with this role:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN, assisting them with classroom activities and helping to reinforce learning objectives.
- Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, parents, and other staff members to ensure consistent support and progress monitoring.
- Support the creation of inclusive learning environments that accommodate the diverse needs and abilities of all students.
- Assist in monitoring and tracking student progress, contributing to the review and evaluation of individual education plans.
To be cleared as a SEN Teaching Assistant you will need to have the following Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with children with special educational needs.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting the diverse needs of children with SEN.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to implement individualised education plans.
- A genuine passion for supporting the learning and well-being of children with SEN and a commitment to fostering their independence and confidence.
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to get a new one
- Must Provide 2 relevant professional references
