An enthusiastic and committed Special Educational Needs 1-1 Learning Support Assistant is needed to join a great primary school in Plymouth starting in September 2024. In the nursery and reception areas, this position works with children ages three to five.

Roles and responsibilities:
- Support students with ASD one-on-one, adapting your methods to their particular needs and learning style.
- Encourage the student to communicate and engage with others effectively by employing tactics based on empirical research.
- Use behaviour management strategies to establish a welcoming and encouraging learning environment.
- Help the student with assignments, homework, and learning activities. Closely collaborate with the teaching team to modify materials as necessary.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistants:
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS on updated service (willing to get one).
- Must provide 2 professional references.
- Possessing pertinent training in special education needs or a related profession is beneficial.
- Prior experience working with students with special education needs is a big plus.
- Tolerance, compassion, and a thorough comprehension of the difficulties confronted by students with SEN.
- Flexibility to accommodate each student's unique demands and varied learning methods.
- A dedication to upholding the rights of kids with SEN and fostering diversity.
