Annual Salary: £20,941.30 - £22,835.30 (Term-Time Only)
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, Term-Time Only
The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with students aged 11-16 with special educational needs, including Autism. You'll assist teaching staff in the classroom and engage in outdoor activities like Bushcraft and life skills, playing a crucial role in helping students grow both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual support while ensuring student safety and well-being.
- Help students achieve their goals as outlined in their Education and Healthcare Plans (EHCPs).
- Implement personalized positive behaviour strategies.
- Maintain detailed records of incidents, accidents, and health and safety issues.
- Encourage social interaction and teamwork among students.
What We're Looking For:
No prior experience is required-just a genuine enthusiasm for working with young people. The ideal candidate will:
- Be passionate about supporting and building relationships with students.
- Manage challenging behaviour with patience and positivity.
- Bring a creative and problem-solving mindset.
- Possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Have basic numeracy, literacy, and ICT abilities.
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
