Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about working with children and young people with special educational needs, helping them thrive and reach their full potential in both academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, including PMLD, autism, and complex medical conditions.
- Assist students in achieving educational and personal goals, both in the classroom and during community activities.
- Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment, fostering respect and engagement.
- Support students in developing independence, social skills, and emotional resilience through targeted activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to deliver personalised support, including physical interventions and personal care when required.
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about helping children and young people with additional needs succeed.
- Is patient, proactive, and creative in addressing learning challenges.
- Has strong communication skills, especially in supporting students with unique communication needs.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of students.
- Holds a Level 2 qualification in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Is eager to undertake further training and qualifications, fully funded by us.
