The Role :
We are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to work at a friendly Special Educational Needs (SEN) school based in Spalding. In addition to helping children with their personal care requirements, an SEN Teaching Assistant will offer vital support in the classroom. In order to meet the learning requirements of children with a range of SEN, you will offer them one-to-one and small group support. Additionally, where appropriate, you will support self-care practices and independence.

Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with children in an educational or care setting (SEN experience is highly desirable)
- Experience providing personal care and assisting with physical or medical needs (such as mobility support, feeding, or toileting)
- A genuine passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them to thrive
- Patience, empathy, and a calm approach, particularly when dealing with sensitive or challenging situations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Willingness to undergo training in specific care needs or educational approaches as required
Your Responsibilities:
- Tailor support to address the unique learning requirements of students with SEN.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Assist in maintaining classroom order, fostering a positive and stimulating learning atmosphere.
- Establish effective communication with parents, teachers, and external professionals.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate the academic and social progress of students with SEN.
- Adapt teaching materials and resources to accommodate diverse learning needs.
