We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Tutor to provide 1:1 support for a child with Autism in their family home in Leicester. The child is non-verbal and can exhibit challenging behaviours. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored educational and developmental support in line with the child's individual needs
- Implement strategies to support communication and engagement
- Manage challenging behaviours with patience and understanding
- Work closely with the family and any other professionals involved in the child's care
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential
- Experience working with children with Autism and complex needs
- Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to support non-verbal communication
- Experience working in a home-based setting is desirable
- Patience, resilience, and a calm approach to managing challenging behaviours
