We are looking for a dedicated full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and well-supported school in the Wakefield area (WF6). These are temporary full-time positions, with the potential for permanent placement for the right candidates. The school is well connected and just a short walk from bus and train routes.

Requirements:
- Eligible to work in the UK without any restrictions (NO SPONSORSHIP)
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths are essential
- Experience working with children with challenging behaviour in an educational or care setting
- Team Teach training is desirable but not essential
- Strong interpersonal skills with a calm and resilient approach
- Possess an Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to get one through Randstad.
- Passionate about inclusion and supporting children to succeed
- Able to work full time, Monday to Friday (8:45am-3:15pm)
Key responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH and SEND needs
- Promote a calm and structured learning environment
- Use de-escalation techniques and build positive, trusting relationships
- Support teaching staff with planning and delivering accessible learning activities
- Encourage pupils' social development and emotional regulation
- Monitor and report on student progress, behaviour and wellbeing
- Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and external agencies
