We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff to support pupil's with special educational needs and disabilities, helping them to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.

Key responsibilities:
- Supporting Learning: Assist in the educational and social development of pupil's under the direction and guidance of the SENDCo and class teachers.
- Personal Care: Provide personal care and assistance to pupil's as needed, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Individual Support: Work on a one-to-one basis with pupil's or in small groups to support their specific learning needs.
- Monitoring Progress: Help monitor and record the progress of pupil's, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Inclusive Environment: Promote an inclusive environment where all pupil's feel valued and supported.
- Classroom Assistance: Support the classroom teacher in managing pupil behaviour and facilitating a positive learning environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and the needs of individual pupil's.
- Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
- Skilled in managing challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner.
Requirements:
- An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this)
- Good knowledge of the UK national curriculum.
- Experience working with SEND learners
- BSL (desirable)
- Excellent planning and organisation skills.
