As a Freelance Senior CAD / BIM Designer, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, producing high-quality 2D drawings and 3D models that support the successful design and construction of complex infrastructure schemes.

🔹 CAD & BIM Model Development - Produce and manage detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for large-scale civil engineering projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
🔹 Multi-Disciplinary Coordination - Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure designs align with project objectives and industry standards.
🔹 Highways, Structures, and Water Sector Design - Support the development of bridges, tunnels, highways, drainage systems, and water treatment facilities, applying sector-specific knowledge.
🔹 BIM Compliance & Digital Engineering - Ensure all work aligns with BIM Level 2 / ISO 19650 requirements, contributing to federated models, clash detection, and data-rich digital workflows.
🔹 Automation & Efficiency - Assist in the development of automation, parametric design, and digital workflows to enhance productivity and improve project outcomes.
🔹 Quality Control & Compliance - Maintain adherence to industry best practices, ensuring designs are efficient, sustainable, and compliant with relevant regulations and safety standards.

✅ Extensive Experience in Civil Infrastructure - Proven background working on highways, structures, or water sector projects in a CAD / BIM design capacity.
✅ Technical Expertise - Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, InfraWorks, and other BIM-related software. Experience with Dynamo, scripting, or automation tools is an advantage.
✅ Strong Understanding of BIM & Digital Engineering - Experience working within BIM Level 2 / ISO 19650 environments, including model coordination and clash detection.
✅ Attention to Detail & Problem-Solving Skills - Ability to analyse complex design challenges and propose innovative solutions.
✅ Collaborative & Proactive Approach - Comfortable working independently while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
✅ Contractor / Consultancy Experience - Background in a civil engineering design consultancy or main contractor environment preferred.
