Randstad are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join a housing association on a fixed term contract of 3-4 months to lead health and safety efforts across a diverse range of construction and property maintenance projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents, employees, and contractors.

Offering up to £48,700 + Discretionary Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

• Health & Safety Leadership: Provide expert advice and guidance on health and safety matters across all construction and property maintenance projects.

• Risk Management: Identify potential health and safety risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure safe working environments.

• Compliance Oversight: Ensure all projects comply with relevant health and safety legislation, industry standards, and Housing Association policies.

• Training & Development: Develop and deliver health and safety training programs to staff and contractors, fostering a culture of safety awareness.

• Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into any health and safety incidents, ensuring thorough reporting and implementation of corrective actions.

• Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and update health and safety policies and procedures, incorporating best practices and lessons learned from past projects.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with project teams, contractors, and residents to communicate health and safety requirements and address any concerns.

Experience Required:

• Extensive experience in health and safety management within the construction and property maintenance sectors.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, including CDM Regulations.
• NEBOSH certificate or equivalent qualification.
• CSCS card holder
• Member of the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE)
• Proven ability to influence and implement safety improvements in a dynamic working environment.
• Experience in the housing or public sector is highly desirable.
