Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are currently looking for a talented and motivated individual to join a dynamic team working on an exciting civil engineering project based in West London.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take a leadership role in the management of a project's commercial aspects, ensuring that accurate, timely, and contract-compliant documentation is issued. You will work closely with the project management and engineering teams while liaising with the client and employer's commercial teams to deliver the project efficiently and within budget.

Key responsibilities:
- Reporting to a Commercial Manager
- Develop and oversee the efficient and effective management and issue of accurate, timely, and contract-compliant documentation for the project.
- Collaborate with project management and engineering teams, liaising with the client's and employer's commercial teams to ensure alignment.
- Lead and manage an asset, supported by an Assistant Quantity Surveyor and Graduate QS, ensuring smooth project delivery.
- Produce documentation / evidence to demonstrate KPI achievement.
- Assist with the preparation of periodic progress valuations and claims for work completed, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Produce monthly cost reports, forecasts, and contract budget reports, maintaining accurate cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and manage contractual and commercial risks, as well as opportunities for cost efficiencies, reporting to the Project and Commercial Managers.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of risk registers and contingency planning.
- Review and assess value management proposals to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Provide timely and appropriate information to support the change control process, ensuring minimal disruption to project delivery.
- Review value management proposals.
- Manage subcontracts from initial order placement through to final account, ensuring accurate and compliant administration of all subcontracts.
- Prepare, review, and complete subcontract documentation, agreeing interim applications for payment and final accounts with subcontractors.
- Maintain effective, accurate cost control.
What We Are Looking For
Essential:
- Relevant Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent industry experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Desired:
- Experience in rail or infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience in contract management.
- Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
