Senior Technology Risk Control Specialist - Hybrid/Sheffield - £500-650pd (inside IR35) - 12 months contract!
My client, a leader in their field are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technology Risk Control Specialist to join a leading financial services organisation. This is a critical role where you will play a key part in managing technology risks and controls across the enterprise, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Lead and implement transformational initiatives to enhance technology controls, leveraging Agile methodologies and automation.

🔹 Ensure compliance with industry regulations, risk management frameworks, and internal control standards.
🔹 Monitor & report on control effectiveness, identifying gaps and presenting insights to executive leadership.
🔹 Develop key control indicators (KCIs) to track and improve risk mitigation efforts.
🔹 Engage with senior stakeholders (including C-suite, 2nd/3rd Line of Defense, and external auditors) to drive a unified approach to risk management.
🔹 Leverage data analytics to influence decision-making and prioritise risk management activities.
Key Requirements
- Proven track record in technology risk management, control design, and compliance within large-scale enterprises.
- Strong ability to influence and communicate effectively at C-suite and senior stakeholder levels.
- Deep understanding of network security, PCI DSS, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with experience navigating complex technology landscapes.
- Experience with enterprise risk management tools and leading large-scale initiatives in a financial services environment.
