About the Role
As a Senior Science Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the science department. From preparing engaging practicals to ensuring the lab operates safely and efficiently, you'll be at the heart of the school's science education. Working 22.25 hours per week, this part-time position offers a perfect balance for someone looking to contribute their skills while maintaining flexibility.

Contract: Permanent Part time (22.25 hours per week)
Pay scale: £13,233.14 - £14,333.32 per annum (Pro rata)
Essential Requirements
... - A Level 3 qualification in Science (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience of working as a Science Technician within a maintained school
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and supervise the technician support team.
- Ensure effective service delivery for technical support services.
- Manage stock levels and order equipment and consumables.
- Prepare and set up materials, chemicals, and equipment for lessons and demonstrations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Adapt to curriculum changes and ensure resources are aligned with requirements.
- Develop services and staff under your supervision.
- Provide general support to school staff as required.
- Prepare standard solutions and learning resources for data collection.
- Compile and maintain a catalogue of equipment.
- Undertake additional duties as negotiated with school management.
