About the Role:
As Service Manager, you will:
... - Provide leadership and management: Lead and motivate a team of social workers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and staff well-being.
- Develop and implement strategy: Work closely with senior management to develop and implement service strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with council priorities.
- Ensure effective service delivery: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring that services are delivered efficiently and effectively, meeting the needs of service users.
- Promote positive outcomes: Champion person-centered practice, ensuring services empower individuals to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
- Develop and maintain partnerships: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including other agencies, voluntary organizations, and community groups, to deliver holistic support to service users.
- Manage budgets and resources: Manage budgets, resources, and staffing to ensure efficient service delivery and financial sustainability.
- Contribute to service improvement: Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring services meet the highest standards and are continually evolving to meet changing needs.
Key Requirements:
- A relevant professional qualification in social work or a closely related field.
- Social Care England registration.
- Updated DBS check.
- Proven experience in a senior management role within a social care setting.
- Experience in leading and motivating teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Commitment to person-centered practice and a commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable adults.
