We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shift Lead Engineer with High Voltage Authorised Person (HVAP) certification to join our team at a prestigious flagship building in London. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leadership role within a dynamic and forward-thinking environment. You will ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of the building's critical systems while leading a team of skilled engineers on a Continental Shift Pattern.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of engineers during shifts to ensure all planned and reactive maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
Perform hands-on maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of critical systems, including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment.
Act as the High Voltage Authorised Person (HVAP) for the site, overseeing HV operations and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Conduct regular inspections of building systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with statutory requirements.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, shift logs, and compliance documentation.
Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for specialist maintenance and repairs.
Provide technical support and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and development.
Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times, conducting risk assessments and promoting a safe working environment.
Requirements:
HVAP (High Voltage Authorised Person) certification is essential.
Proven experience in a similar role within a critical or commercial building environment.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work a Continental Shift Pattern, including nights and weekends.
Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, HND) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
