Site Engineer - HS2 - Northamptonshire / Oxfordshire - Tier 1 Contractor (Inside IR35 - Long Term)

We're seeking a motivated and experienced Site Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis (Inside IR35), working for a leading Tier 1 contractor on a critical section of HS2 in Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a transformative infrastructure development, gaining valuable experience while working alongside a highly skilled team.
We are looking for individuals with experience in one of the following areas:
- Structures: Strong understanding of concrete structures, foundations, and associated works.
- Highways: Experience with road construction, drainage, and associated civil engineering works.
- Earthworks: Expertise in excavation, earthmoving, and groundworks.
What you'll be doing:
- Assisting the Project Manager in overseeing all aspects of site operations within your area of expertise.
- Providing technical support and guidance to the construction team.
- Setting out works, monitoring progress, and ensuring quality control measures are implemented.
- Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
- Preparing reports and documentation as required.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer on large-scale civil engineering projects, ideally with experience in rail infrastructure or relevant areas.
- A thorough understanding of construction techniques, health and safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- A strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
