Key Responsibilities:
- Play a crucial role in the successful execution of the earthworks package, ensuring adherence to project specifications, deadlines, and safety standards.
- Provide technical expertise and support to the construction team, ensuring adherence to project specifications, drawings, and safety protocols.
- Oversee setting out and leveling operations, ensuring accurate placement of structures and utilities within the earthworks.
- Monitor construction progress, identify potential issues related to excavation, fill, and compaction, and implement solutions to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Champion safety on the project, promoting a culture of awareness and ensuring adherence to the highest safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer on large-scale highway or road construction projects, with a particular focus on earthworks.
- A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations relevant to road construction, particularly in relation to earthworks.
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software for setting out and leveling operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing challenges.
- A commitment to safety, with a proven ability to implement and uphold the highest safety standards.
