As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will be at the forefront of the project, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that the project milestones and deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire site operations for the stations upgrade scheme.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage and supervise site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Handle any on-site issues or emergencies effectively.
- Maintain high standards of quality control and assurance.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications and client requirements.
- Facilitate effective communication between the site team and office staff.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on infrastructure or railway projects.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to work under pressure.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field.
- CSCS card, SMSTS, and First Aid certifications are highly desirable.
- PTS is essential
