Randstad are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a major energy project in Southampton. This is long-term, and is a great opportunity to work on a critical project within a leading construction company.

- Proven experience working on National Grid projects. This is a crucial requirement, as you'll be expected to understand the specific challenges and demands of working within the National Grid environment.
- Strong experience as a Site Manager or in a similar role within the construction industry. This includes a solid understanding of construction methods, processes, and best practices.
- Experience working on complex infrastructure projects, ideally involving energy schemes. This will help you navigate the specific technical requirements of the project.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills: You will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of site staff, so strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure: This role demands the ability to adapt quickly, identify solutions, and manage complex situations.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee all aspects of construction operations on a specific section of the project, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Lead and manage a team of site staff, including engineers, supervisors, and operatives, providing guidance and support.
- Implement and maintain safety procedures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, particularly those relating to energy infrastructure.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Identify and manage potential risks and issues, proposing solutions and corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and safety records.
* Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure project goals are met effectively.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience working with leading construction companies in the UK.
* Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards for energy infrastructure projects.
* Experience with project management software.
