Due to high demand in Wigan, We are looking for a motivated and reliable Site Supervisor to manage the day-to-day maintenance and security of our school premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the school's buildings and grounds are safe, secure, and well-maintained, in line with health and safety regulations.
The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the site, coordinating maintenance and repairs, and managing a team of cleaning and maintenance staff.

Job Responsibilities:
- Site Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of the premises, identifying and addressing any maintenance needs. Ensure that all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and conduct risk assessments. Maintain records of safety inspections and incidents.
- Security: Monitor and manage the security of the site, including locking and unlocking the premises, handling emergency situations, and liaising with security contractors if necessary.
- Team Management: Supervise and support the cleaning and maintenance staff, ensuring they carry out their duties effectively and in accordance with the school's policies.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and health and safety documentation. Assist with budgeting and procurement of supplies.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff, students, and external contractors.
Requirements:
- An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this).
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Comprehensive CV covering the last 10 years of education/employment history with any breaks explained.
