We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Extra Small Works Supervisor to oversee minor works and projects across our client sites, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision of Small Works Projects:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise extra small works, including minor repairs, installations, and refurbishments.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Monitor progress, resolving issues as they arise to avoid delays or disruptions.
Team Coordination:
- Manage and allocate tasks to a team of engineers, technicians, and contractors.
- Provide on-site leadership, guidance, and support to ensure high levels of productivity and performance.
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
Health, Safety, and Compliance:
- Ensure all works comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for all projects.
- Maintain a safe working environment and address any safety concerns promptly.
Client and Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding small works, ensuring their expectations are met.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and address any client concerns or queries.
- Maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional works or improvements.
Quality Assurance:
- Inspect completed works to ensure they meet quality standards and client specifications.
- Identify and implement corrective actions where necessary to maintain service excellence.
Procurement and Resource Management:
- Coordinate the procurement of materials and equipment needed for small works projects.
- Manage project resources efficiently, minimizing waste and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, costs, and any issues encountered.
- Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting key achievements and challenges.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in supervising small works or minor projects within the facilities management, construction, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of building maintenance, repair processes, and minor works delivery.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate a team.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Relevant trade qualification or technical background in building services or construction (e.g., electrical, mechanical, or general building).
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in a supervisory role managing small works or projects.
- Certifications in health and safety (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent) are desirable.
