Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Child Protection Social Worker to join our team in Doncaster. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the needs of children at risk, developing and implementing care plans, and coordinating support services to safeguard their welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and protective factors.
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with children, families, and relevant stakeholders.
- Provide timely and effective intervention and support services to children and families in crisis.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including health care professionals, law enforcement, and educational institutions.
- Monitor and review the progress of children and families involved in the child protection system.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with organisational policies and statutory requirements.
- Attend court hearings and provide evidence as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Previous experience working in child protection services.
- Strong understanding of child development, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and best practice standards.
