Responsibilities:
As a Children and Families Social Worker, you will work closely with children, families, and other professionals to deliver high-quality services that protect and promote the welfare of children. You will carry out assessments, develop care plans, provide ongoing support, and ensure the best interests of children are always prioritised.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine the needs of children and families and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Care and Child Protection
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, healthcare providers, and other agencies to provide holistic support.
- Offer guidance, advocacy, and practical assistance to families facing complex issues.
- Manage a caseload, ensuring that cases are handled with professionalism, empathy, and in accordance with safeguarding policies and legal frameworks.
- Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, court hearings, and reviews as required.
- Provide emotional and practical support to children and families in crisis.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records in line with organizational policies and statutory requirements.
Qualifications and registrations:
- Qualified Social Worker
- SSSC registered in the Social Work part of the register
