• Conducting thorough assessments of children and families referred to the Children in Need Team, developing individualised care plans, and coordinating with relevant agencies and professionals.
• Identifying and addressing potential risks to children's well-being, promoting positive parenting strategies, and connecting families to community resources.
• Working effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including colleagues, parents, carers, educational institutions, and other professionals, to ensure a coordinated approach to meeting the needs of children.
• Maintaining detailed and accurate case records, preparing reports, and contributing to data analysis and service evaluation.
• Advocating for the rights and best interests of children, empowering families to build their own capacity, and promoting their resilience.
• Providing direct support, guidance, and counselings to children and families facing a range of challenges, including but not limited to:

1. Family breakdown and separation
2. Domestic violenct
3. Neglect
4. Substance misuse
5. Mental health issues
6. Educational difficulties

• Social Work Degree (BA/BSc/MA/MSc) or equivalent
• Social Work England registration
• Proven experience working with children and families in a social work setting
• Strong assessment and case management skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Experience working with specific child protection issues (e.g., neglect, abuse, domestic violence)
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies (e.g., Children Act 1989, Working Together to Safeguard Children)
