Position: Locality Safeguarding Social Worker, Hemsworth Team
Salary: Up to £40 per hour (depending on experience)
Working Hours: Office-based, 2-3 days per week

Your Role: As a Locality Safeguarding Team Member, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and responding to child protection concerns within your designated locality. You will work closely with families, schools, health professionals, and partner agencies to assess risks, devise safeguarding plans, and provide support to vulnerable children and their families. ... - Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify safeguarding concerns.
- Collaborating with professionals and agencies to develop and implement effective safeguarding plans.
- Providing advice, guidance, and support to families, empowering them to make positive changes.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings, case conferences, and reviews to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all interventions and actions taken.
- Keeping abreast of legislative changes, research, and best practices in child safeguarding.
Requirements:
- A recognized qualification in Social Work or a relevant field.
- Previous experience in child protection and safeguarding within a local authority setting.
- A comprehensive understanding of legislation, policies, and procedures related to child safeguarding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong assessment abilities, with the capability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on best practices in child protection.
