Social Worker for Children in Need
you will support vulnerable children and young people facing challenges that affect their safety, well-being, and development. Your role includes assessing their needs, creating care plans, and connecting them with services to ensure they are safe, supported, and able to thrive.
Responsibilities include:
- Using the Families Act 2014 to understand the needs, risks, and strengths of children with disabilities.
- Collaborating with families, health professionals, and education providers to gather holistic information.
- Managing a caseload of children with disabilities, ensuring regular reviews and updates of their care plans.
- Identifying and addressing safeguarding concerns to protect children from harm, abuse, or neglect.
- Advocating for children and young people to ensure their voices are heard in decisions about their care and support.
