Responsibilities:
- Work directly with prospective foster carers and adopters, conducting assessments, providing training, and offering ongoing support.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and carers to ensure the best outcomes.
- Complete detailed assessments, including Form F and PAR reports, and present findings to the fostering and adoption panels.
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners to ensure a holistic approach to care and support.
- Participate in matching children with suitable foster or adoptive families, ensuring a smooth transition and ongoing support.
- Provide post-placement and post-adoption support to families as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with legislative and procedural requirements.
Qualifications and registrations:
- Qualified Social Worker
- SSSC registered in the Social Work part of the register
