We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Criminal Justice Social Worker to join our dynamic team in Glasgow. You will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive social work services to individuals involved in the criminal justice system, focusing on assessment, support, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality social work assessments to individuals involved in the criminal justice system.
- Utilise the SARA v3 risk assessment and LSCMI tool effectively to inform case planning and risk management strategies.
- Develop and implement person-centred support plans in collaboration with service users, their families, and other relevant agencies.
- Work collaboratively with criminal justice partners, including police, courts, and prison services.
- Provide advice and guidance to service users and their families on a range of issues, including mental health, substance misuse, accommodation, and employment.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of group work and other interventions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on Carefirst or Carejust, adhering to organisational policies and procedures.
- Participate in multi-agency meetings and contribute to effective information sharing.
- Keep abreast of relevant legislation, policy, and research in the field of criminal justice social work.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW).
- Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Social Worker.
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
