Job Description:
Are you a dedicated social worker with a passion for supporting kinship families.
In this role, you will work closely with kinship carers and children, providing the necessary assessments, support, and guidance to ensure the best outcomes for children in kinship care.
Responsibilities:
- Providing ongoing support and supervision to kinship carers, helping them navigate the challenges of caring for children within their family or social network.
- Developing and implementing support plans tailored to the needs of the child and the kinship carers.
- Working collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers, health professionals, and educators, to coordinate care and services for children in kinship placements.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to kinship care and child protection.
- Advocating for the needs of the child and the kinship carers within the wider social care system.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in a social work role, preferably within kinship care, fostering, or children's services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with kinship carers, children, and professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to kinship care and child protection.
