Randstad are supporting a Leicestershire County client to recruit for a temporary Team Manager within their childrens services Screening Team based in Glenfield.
It is essential that applicants have significant Team Manager experience within childrens screening teams or MASH teams. You must be a fully qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 1 year's post qualified experience.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the team, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive and effective screening services for children at risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Children's Screening Team, ensuring high standards of practice and performance.
- Oversee the assessment and screening processes to identify children in need of support and protection.
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to team members, promoting professional development and best practices.
- Collaborate with other agencies, professionals, and stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to child protection and welfare.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the team's services, implementing improvements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare and present reports on team performance and case outcomes to senior management.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to optimise service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Social Work or related field (required).
- Registration with SWE (required).
- Extensive experience in a team manager position within children's services, particularly in screening and assessment (required).
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a similar setting (required).
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
