About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join our dynamic team starting in January. Initially teaching both French and Spanish to KS3 and KS4, the role may transition to focus solely on KS3, depending on school needs. This is an exciting opportunity to foster a love for languages and empower students to achieve their full potential.

What We're Looking For
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Proven Experience teaching French and Spanish at secondary level, ideally to KS4.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
Skills
- Strong knowledge of French and Spanish languages and cultures.
- Proven ability to plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4..
- experience with both summative and formative evaluation techniques.
- the ability to adapt teaching to a variety of skill levels, including SEN and EAL pupils.
- skilled at using assessment data to track and monitor students' progress.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff members, parents, and students.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to develop a passion for languages.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach French and Spanish to students across Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Use efficient formative and summative evaluation techniques to assess and track students' development.
- Provide students positive feedback that advances their growth and comprehension.
- Make sure all students improve by adapting lesson plans and teaching tactics based on assessment data.
- Assure the full involvement of all students by offering tailored support to those who require extra assistance or challenge.
- Engage students to a variety of cultural pursuits and practical language-learning applications.
- Keep the classroom atmosphere positive and encouraging to encourage both student success and wellbeing.
- engage in extracurricular activities such as language clubs and cultural events.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and activities to help the school grow as a whole.
- Actively participate in department meetings, sharing best practices and contributing to the ongoing development of the MFL curriculum.
