Randstad Student Support are recruiting for Specialist-one-to-one Study Skills Support Workers to work with students at Ravensbourne University in London - SE10 0EW
The role is set to begin as soon as possible, for an interim period and you will be required to support students on campus, therefore please only apply for the role if you are able to travel to the University. Your role will be to support foundation year students or those not eligible for DSA support. The majority of the courses are arts based, with the foundation year courses being a mix of fashion, media and photography
The role can be flexible or part time based on your availability with a potential to work up to 35 hours per week. Hours can also be flexible based on your availability, with working hours anytime between 9am-5pm.
As a Specialist-one-to-one Study Skills Support Worker, you will provide learning support and academic guidance. This includes creating an individual learning plan that has been tailored to the student's needs and encourages them to become an independent learner.
As a Specialist-one-to-one Study Skills Support Worker, you are required to support students to:
- Develop independence
- Build on strengths and learning strategies
- Create strategies around organisation and time management
- Create action plans to stay on track with studies
- Build on research skills - widening knowledge by using a variety of sources
- Distinguish appropriate sources and how to correctly use references
- Build on comprehension skills within reading and writing
Requirements for the role:
As this is a specialist role, you must have the correct qualifications and training:
- Candidates must be qualified to undergraduate degree level (level 6 as minimum), have a teaching qualification or other relevant degree relating to education / SEN.
- Experience working in an FE/HE education setting .
- Experience supporting students on a one to one basis.

Pay rate - £20-£22 per hour plus holiday pay
