We are seeking a Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) to work within our specialist school, supporting children and young people with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN), Autism (ASC), and complex learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver tailored therapy for students with speech and language difficulties.
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to implement effective communication strategies.
- Develop individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
- Provide training and guidance to school staff on communication best practices.
- Support students with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) systems where needed.
Ideal Candidate:
- HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist.
- Experience working with children with SEN, SLCN, and Autism.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or AAC systems (desirable but not essential).
