Role Overview
The school is looking for a passionate Subject Leader for Religious Education to join the Humanities department. You will have the skills to inspire and motivate our students to excel in the subject, helping them gain a deeper understanding of the world around them and their role within it. This is an exciting opportunity for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced teacher looking to take the next step in their career.

Position Description
Start Date: September 2025 (Permanent)
Location: Sheffield
Pay range: MPS/UP +TLR2 (£31,660 - £49,084 plus up to £8,279 TLR)
Essential Requirements
... - QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Leadership experience or a clear aspiration to take on a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the RE curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Inspire and motivate students to develop a deep interest in Religious Education.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring high standards of achievement.
- Develop schemes of work that are engaging, challenging, and relevant.
- Support and mentor colleagues within the Humanities department.
- Work collaboratively with other subject leaders to enhance cross-curricular links.
- Organise and lead extracurricular activities, including trips and enrichment opportunities.
- Promote inclusive practices that cater to students of all abilities and backgrounds.
- Stay up to date with developments in Religious Education and pedagogy.
- Ensure compliance with national curriculum requirements and examination board specifications.
