At Randstad, we are seeking a committed and enthusiastic KS2 primary teacher to deliver high-quality education, foster a love for learning, and support pupil progress in a welcoming school setting in the LS23 area of Leeds.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
- Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and confidence
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a structured and supportive classroom
- Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other staff to address individual learning needs
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers to build strong home-school relationships
- Encourage pupil independence and critical thinking through interactive and varied teaching methods
- Contribute to the wider school community by participating in extracurricular activities and school events
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in KS2
- Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment expectations
- Excellent classroom management skills with a positive and engaging teaching style
- Ability to differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs, including SEN pupils
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Ability to work in the UK without any restrictions (NO Sponsorship).
