Responsibilities
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care at Home workers to provide essential support to elderly individuals in East Dunbartonshire. You will be responsible for:
- Assisting with daily living tasks such as washing, dressing, preparing meals, medication administration, toileting, and mobility support.
- Providing a warm and supportive environment that promotes independence and well-being.
- Building meaningful relationships with service users and respecting their individual needs.
- Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
- Working collaboratively as part of a team to ensure the highest standards of care are consistently met.
- Competence with Short-term Care at Home Re-ablement Services and Long-term Care at Home Services for people of varying needs
- An overnight service between the hours of 10.30pm and 7.30am.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a care home or in a community care/care at home environment
- Compassionate and caring towards others with a desire to help people
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Ability to work under pressure and stay calm in stressful situations
- Strong ability to work independently and use your own initiative
- Moving and handling training and medication administration training
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
- Right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
