Essential Requirements:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Knowledge of the GCSE and/or A-Level Accounting curriculum
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

• Ability to plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons
• Ability to adapt resources and create engaging lesson materials
• Confidence in using technology and online learning platforms
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• A proactive and flexible approach to teaching

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lessons in Accounting (and Business Studies if applicable).
• Use pre-prepared resources while adapting and enhancing them as needed.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Support students in understanding core financial concepts.
• Use real-world examples to make accounting relevant and interesting.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Provide additional support for students who require extra help.
• Ensure all lessons align with national curriculum requirements.
• Uphold the school's values and promote a positive learning environment.
• Ensure a smooth transition for students by working closely with the existing teacher during the handover.
