About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Art to join our secondary school in Sheffield on a full-time, long-term basis starting ASAP until the end of July 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and develop the artistic talents of students while playing a crucial role in their education. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative Art lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them to develop their skills and confidence in a wide range of artistic disciplines.

Essential Requirements

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
Knowledge of GCSE Art specifications.

Skills

Passion for fostering creativity and artistic expression.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and engage students.
Proficiency in planning and delivering differentiated lessons.
Knowledge of current educational practices and safeguarding policies.
Enthusiasm for working collaboratively with colleagues.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Art lessons that cater to different learning styles.
Develop and implement engaging schemes of work.
Inspire and motivate students to explore their creativity.
Encourage students to develop technical skills in a variety of art forms.
Support students in developing confidence and self-expression through art.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the art curriculum.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
Promote extracurricular art activities and clubs.
Uphold the school's policies on behaviour, safety, and inclusion.
Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in events and initiatives.
