About the Role
As a Teacher of Biology, you will be a vital part of a dedicated Science Department, inspiring students through dynamic teaching in Biology. You will teach Biology up to Key Stage 4, ensuring all lessons are well-planned, engaging, and aligned with the curriculum. Working closely with the Head of Department, you will contribute to the academic success of the students and support their personal development.

- Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Biology lessons up to KS4.
- Mark and assess students' work in line with school policies.
- Prepare differentiated resources to meet the needs of all learners.
- Monitor and support students' progress, providing feedback to ensure improvement.
- Collaborate with the Head of Department and other staff to share best practices.
- Participate in departmental and whole-school meetings.
- Support students in preparing for assessments and exams.
- Uphold the school's safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Foster strong relationships with students, supporting their well-being.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the lab and classroom.
