About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Computer Science to join a thriving secondary school in Sheffield. The role involves teaching Computer Science across KS3 and KS4, with a small number of KS4 Business Studies lessons. You will play a key role in equipping students with essential skills for the digital age while fostering a love for learning and problem-solving.

Location: Sheffield
Contract: Permanent, Part time (0.8fte)
Pay scale: Teachers Main Pay Range MPR/UPR (Pro-rata basis)

... - QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- A track record of improving student outcomes.
Skills
- Excellent subject knowledge in Computer Science.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, HTML).
- Knowledge of Business Studies concepts (desirable).

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach a small number of KS4 Business Studies lessons.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress and attainment.
- Inspire students with hands-on programming, coding, and IT projects.
- Support students in understanding theoretical Computer Science concepts.
- Use technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning.
- Support students preparing for GCSE examinations.
- Ensure the safe use of IT equipment in the classroom.
- Attend and contribute to department meetings and staff training.
- Uphold school policies and promote the school's ethos and values.
