About the Role
An exciting opportunity has come for a dedicated and creative Teacher of Design and Technology to join our secondary school in Leeds. This full-time position is available to start immediately and will focus primarily on Food and Textiles at KS3. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical lessons, inspiring students to develop their skills in design, food preparation, and textiles.

Contract: Full time
Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)
Essential Requirements:
... - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety standards in a classroom environment.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Design and Technology lessons (Food and Textiles).
- Teach across Key Stage 3, ensuring that students of all abilities are engaged and challenged.
- Deliver practical and theoretical lessons, encouraging creativity and problem-solving.
- Develop students' skills in food preparation, cooking, and textile design.
- Promote health and safety awareness during practical sessions.
- Monitor student progress and implement strategies to support improvement.
- Prepare students for assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Support extra-curricular activities related to Design and Technology.
- Uphold the school's values and ethos in all aspects of teaching and professional conduct.
