About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Drama Teacher to join our secondary school in Wakefield on a part-time basis, starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage and inspire students through the world of drama, helping them develop confidence, communication, and performance skills.

Contract: Part time role
Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)
Requirements
... - QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- A passion for Drama and a commitment to fostering student creativity.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
Skills
- A passion for inspiring students through creative teaching.
- A strong background in drama, theatre studies, or performing arts.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Enthusiasm for extra-curricular activities and school performances.
- Building a positive rapport with students and colleagues.
- A thorough knowledge of the Drama curriculum and how to effectively deliver it.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, differentiated Drama lessons that captivate and inspire students.
- Encourage students to explore drama as a tool for self-expression and confidence-building.
- Direct and support school productions, performances, and showcases.
- Help students develop skills in script analysis and character development.
- Teach students the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and respect in performance work.
- Adapt lessons to cater to different learning needs and abilities.
- Introduce students to different theatre styles, practitioners, and techniques.
- Use technology and multimedia in drama lessons where appropriate.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop creative lesson plans and schemes of work.
