About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of DT/Art to join the School from 22nd April 2025. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons in both Design Technology and Art across KS3 and KS4. You'll teach a range of disciplines including textiles, graphics, product design, fine art, and mixed media, encouraging students to develop both technical competencies and artistic confidence. You'll be expected to plan and deliver high-quality lessons, assess progress, and inspire pupils to achieve their full potential in creative subjects.

Essential Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
- Passion for creative education and the ability to motivate young people

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Art and Design Technology
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Teach a range of practical and theoretical skills
- Use both traditional and digital media in lesson delivery
- Support students in developing their creative voice
- Prepare and maintain resources, tools, and materials
- Organise and display student work around the school
- Contribute to departmental planning and development
- Participate in parent evenings and school events
- Collaborate with colleagues to share good practice
