About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a secondary school in Leeds. This is a full-time position starting on 24th February. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging and inspiring English lessons to students across KS3 and KS4, fostering a love for literature and language while ensuring excellent academic progress.
The school believes in developing well-rounded individuals who are not only academically successful but also possess a sense of purpose, ambition, and confidence to contribute positively to society and the world of technology. Ofsted has graded the school as 'Good'.

Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates considered)
Essential Requirements
... - QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- A passion for English and a commitment to nurturing student's creativity and critical thinking.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and intervention where necessary.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation.
- Develop lesson plans in line with the national curriculum.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations, helping them achieve their full potential.
- Differentiate instruction to support students with varying abilities and needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the English department.
- Encourage students to engage with literature beyond the classroom.
- Ensure all students meet or exceed their expected levels of progress.
- Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
